Quality varies. Generally good but some stuff is pretty washed out. Running time is about 90 minutes. OUTTA SIGHT SURF: Excellent mix of rare surf gems painstakingly comped by me from several sources. Nice quality overall but a few are a bit rough. Still no room to complain since it includes: Dick Dale, Pyramids, Chantays, Link Wray, Davie Allan, Astonauts, Challengers, Ventures, Routers, Sandy Nelson and the short film "Skater Dater." Total time is 92 minutes. POP MUSIC TV CAMEOS 1: Here's a disc full of rock bands making cameo appearances on various US TV shows from the mid-late 60's. Includes classics like the Enemys on the Beverly Hillbillies, Seeds on the Mother-In-Laws, Buffalo Springfield on Mannix and Standells on Bing Cosby. Clips from 29 different shows in all. Running time is about 115 minutes. SCOPITONES 1: Great collection featuring Joi Lansing, Francoise Hardy, Dick & Dee Dee, January Jones, Gale Garnett, Leslie Gore and plenty of others. 34 songs in all. Includes bands like C,S,N & Y, Raiders, Blue Cheer, Soft Machine, Atomic Rooster, Buffalo Springfield, Box Tops, Steppenwolf, Yardbirds, etc. Quality is generally very good with 33 songs on this 2 hour disc. SOUNDS OF THE SIXTIES: A "best of" collection of television appearances by many popular 60’s artists. With bands like Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick & Tich, Manfred Mann, Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, Shadows, Hollies, Moody Blues, Tremeloes and many more. Most of the stuff is from Top of the Pops and some from Blue Peter and A Whole Scene Going. Quality of footage is overall very good. An absolute winner with 37 songs on this 1 hour 55 minute disc. PUNK: Compiled in the early 90's, this is a documentary-type collection of live Punk acts from '77 - '78, all of which originally aired on Granada TV. Burned from pre-record, runs about 100 minutes. TARGET HARDCORE 1: Classic comp with extras taken from Target's Underground Forces Vol. 5. Great early Black Flag, X, Bad Brains, Toxic Reasons, MDC, Flipper, Circle Jerks, Tuxedo Moon, TSOL and much more. Quality is very good (though burned from pre-record it is a bit grainy but still very good). Entire disc runs about 95 minutes. TOP OF THE POPS - PUNK: Collection of punk bands on the U.K.'s Top of the Pops. Includes: Buzzcocks, Magazine, PiL, Siouxsie, Undertones, Dickies, Rezillos, X-Ray Spex, Ramones, Adverts, Stiff Little Fingers, Damned, Exploited, Sham 69, Cockney Rejects, Ruts, Stranglers and The Jam. Quality is very good though not perfect. But hey, there are 46 songs on this 110 minute disc. Metal EARACHE MY EYE: Collection of bands on the Earache label. Includes: Godflesh, Dub War, Entombed, Cathedral, Napalm Death, Misery Loves Co, At The Gates, Carcass, Pitch Shifter, Sleep, Brutal Truth, Fudge Tunnel and Meathook Seed. Burned to disc from pre-record VHS. Entire disc runs about 53 minutes. The ULTIMATE REVENGE: Venom, Exodus and Slayer live at NYC's Studio 54, April 3, 1985. Long out-of-print gem documenting the mid-80's underground metal scene's revenge on disco (quite timely & original). The Venom interview is one of my all-time personal favorites. Quality is very good to excellent. Entire disc runs about 61 minutes.
